I'm graduating from high school in June 2011 and I was wondering if there's any good summer research/travel/science programs for graduating seniors.

I’ve been looking for the same thing, and the best one that I’ve found is Cornell Summer College. It has a variety of programs, and seems to be really fun and cool.

I’ve done a thread about research: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/summer-programs/1063234-how-apply-independent-research-internships.html

You may find it useful!

Also try Clark Scholars. It’s open to seniors.

I went with Global Leadership Adventures to the Galapagos Islands last summer. THey are a travel/volunteer/leadership abroad program. It was an amazing experience- the staff, the adventures, the people you meet- they’ll all make you never want to leave! The program has trips to Bali, China, The Galapagos Islands, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Tanzania, South Africa, India,Costa Rica, and Guatemala…
trips last anywhere from 10-35 days. Check it out!
