What are some good summer programs that I can apply to that will possibly look good to colleges while being a good experience?

I am a freshman in high school and I am focusing on the areas of nanotechnology and statistics in economics. In addition, I would like to minor in English.

Check out pre-college programs at schools like Cornell, CMU, WashU, GT, etc. and take college level courses for credit. Get at least a B in the courses to demonstrate you can do college level work. Take courses in areas of your interest. Cornell has a program in nanotechnology, but it is very competitive and you are still too young. Try community college this summer. For English, if you like creative writing, check out the programs at Kenyon and University of Virginia.
