Stanford EPGY is pretty good and well rounded in a variety of subjects.
Itās also not too difficult to get in like RSI too, for such a good university

What are good programs with psychology?

Notre Dame Summer Scholars has a pre-med track.

I love Dartmouth so much! Are any programs available there?

The only program seems to be offered by ISTS for high school students although the link given does not show which program allows high school students.

I did Notre Dame summer scholars Global Health last year and it was great. They have many programs that could suit most peopleās interests. It is also a ton of fun.

Launch Summer at MIT is a highly selective entrepreneurship program that helps you start a company - great for a number of reasons on college applications

are there any good ones on law or goverment/ politics and i want a really prestigious one

This program accepts 26 Jewish-identified students from the U.S. and Canada between their junior and senior year (application is due in January of junior year) to study and travel in Israel for five weeks (all expenses paid), followed by a fellowship year involving a social action project and two seminars. Fellows discuss and engage with Jewish and secular texts, ideas, and philosophies, and explore what it means to be Jewish, American, Israeli, and combinations of the three. Pluralism is a priority.

I am a Fellow for 2013 and the summer program was by far the best experience of my life. The other participants, as well as the faculty (who are major American rabbis from multiple denominations) are brilliant and fascinating, and some of my best friends. The stats for college acceptances are here (A Day of Our Summer | The Bronfman Fellowship - Program for Jewish 11th Graders). Over 50 percent of Bronfman Fellows have graduated from or are currently attending Ivy League universities. Because the Fellowship is highly selective, colleges know that Bronfman Fellows are top-notch. In addition, having formed relationships with the faculty, they are wonderful resources for recommendations.

Essentially, Bronfman is both prestigious and absolutely worth the prestige. I am incredibly lucky to have been a Fellow.

Dear All,

Just to put a little perspective on summer programsā¦the Dean of Admissions at Princeton said specifically that they are not impressed by summer programs in and of themselves: it is what you make of them, what you take from them, that counts. They see many summer programs more as evidence that your parents can afford to send you on it, or that you can afford to not work for the summer- and they are not impressed by that.

Also, remember the sheer scale of the thing: there are genuinely thousands of selective programs, that truly do have a lot to offer- and there are genuinely tens of thousands of participants in those selective programs. The fact that you got in is one thing, but the Dean said that a summer job at a local shop can be just as impressive to the admissions committee, and she emphasised that what matters most is what you draw from the experience.

Also, those recs from the profs? be careful if that is your motivation. First, your prof may be very distinguished in their field, but they may not be on faculty at the host college. Second, the profs are very aware that a lot of students are doing the program as much in hopes of bolstering their admissions chances as interest in the course.

That doesnāt mean you shouldnāt do them- our lot did/will be doing some amazing things, that they loved and really learned from. Just try to remember to pick something that really speaks to you over trying to second guess which will impress an admissions office- your chances of having something really worthwhile to write about are better.

I go down to Atlanta in the summer. Any programs in the Southeast?

Cool thread. Thanks!

Are there any free/prestigious summer programs for students interested in Media/Journalism/Communications/etc.? I already know about TASS/TASP and University of Iowaās creative writing program. Iām a HS Junior and Iām looking for something that shows I have talent, not just money to spend on a camp at a well-known school. It seems like most of the free programs are STEM-related though. Any help would be well-appreciated, thanks in advance.

You can look up J-camp. Itās free but extremely competitive.
