Summer Programs w/ Generous Financial Aid?

*high school junior

My family is below the federal poverty line and can't afford more than a few-hundred dollars.

Admission aside, are there any top-tier summer programs that offer substantial financial aid?

I'm in good academic standing; I'm confident of admission to a good program.

I would recommend looking at each colleges website to see if they offer financial aid for their summer programs. From personal experience both Harvard and Brown offer financial aid for their summer programs. They will ask for your PSAT scores (if you’re a junior). Good luck.

However, some websites will state that they do not offer financial aid for more than 1/2 the cost of attendance. Just be thorough when you look around.

Go to the Summer Programs forum, all of the top, scholarship based programs are discussed there (eg. TASP, RSI, SSP, Mites).

For the scholarship based programs, nobody living in the real world is confident of admission.

I didn’t mean that “I know I’ll get in” or anything like that, but from what I hear, summer programs are much less selective than regular admission.

I’ve looked into TASP and RSI a little, but I’ve never heard of the others, thank you  Hopefully there are others there who are in desperate need of financial aid.

SMaRT Camp at Texas A&M (only if you like math); THINK at Davidson Inst.; CRA Law Camp at UCLA

look into questbridge. you need high sat’s. i know they send apps to kids to are eligible, but i think you can apply directly too. you need to be low income too. summer programs, scholarships, college counseling - great opportunity. i think app date is and of march, so you’ll have to rush.
