Has anyone heard of...
People to People:Student ambassador programs?
What was it like and do you earn college credits to ALL colleges or just EWU?

Any other programs that people have attended and enjoyed? Feel free to share!

....and I know, i know...we just started school and I am already thinking about summer (129 days left to be exact :P) but....well I just can't wait until "schools out for the summer".... :D

Program in Math for Young Scientists
6-week residential program at Boston University, where you learn Number Theory. It really was fun, although I didn't sound too enthusiastic in my last post :)

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at Barnard's pre-college program. You don't earn college credit, but you do get to roam NYC! I took a one-week literature class, but they also offer a five-week program where you take two different classes.

There are a couple of threads on this People to People program already. The concensus is that it is very expensive and it is not selective. It looks like a very structured travel/touring program. Kids who have gone, though, seemed to have enjoyed it quite a bit.

yea it's VERYYYYYYY structured(aka you cant leave the group) and it's VERRRRRYYYYYYYYY VERYRRRRRYRYRYRYYR VERYRYYRYRYRYRR expensive!! like $5000 just for a summer! it's rediculous really! they're totally ripping you off!

PSYL - Pearson Seminar for Youth Leadership

Yeah, it's not college prep or science research, but it was the best three weeks of my life! It's run by Pearson College (one of the United World Colleges for IB) in Victoria, BC, Canada. The cool thing is that it's truly international - there were people from Japan, Ethiopia, Luxembourg, the UK, Signapore, and pretty much everwhere else.

Oh, and did I mention it's right on the ocean with a gorgeous campus?

Haha I'm mad excited for this summer too. I'll either be doing...

1) Governor's School - either for the Environment or Public Issues... Can't decide which! (reasonable shot)
2) RSI (long shot)
3) TASP (long shot)
4) USABO finalist camp (I can dream, can't I?)
5) Research (either at Rutgers or Princeton)

I have an interview for People to People tonight. Other than that, I'll be going to Boy's State and so far that's it. I might do some research at NDSU as well and some classes from U North Dakota.

does anyone have any suggestions for summer programs summer before sophomore year...JSA maybe? or i live near Phillips Andover...maybe the summer session...I want to do something productive and preferably academic oriented... because otherwise i find myself sitting idly around doing nothing for 2 months and it takes me a while to get back into the swing of things whent the school years starts up again.

I did JSA this summer and it was one of the best months of my life!! You should definitely do it- it's a LOT of work but you also meet some brilliant people and make awesome friends =D

i have searched for all the "people to people summer programs" but i can't find any. Can anyone refer me to one of them or tell me about their program in spain?
