<p>I participated in a variety of overnight, week-long programs at universities like YLA, CASC, and JSA. Is there any way I can list these on the common app and UC apps? </p>
<p>On the Common App, there are a couple of ways you can list them. You could put them as individual ECs if you have room. Or you can do some grouping. Either create an EC called “Summer Programs” with the description “See Additional Information” and then in Additional Information create a heading called “Summer Programs” and bullet out your programs. </p>
<p>If the programs had specific topics related to other ECs, you could do it this way instead. Example would be if a couple of the programs were music related. Create an EC titled “Music” with “See Additional Information” in the description. Then in Additional Info create a header for “Music Extra Curricular”, and bullet out all your activities related to music, including summer programs (you can put honors/awards in that list if you want to, it puts all your related info together). </p>
