I have to read the Overachievers (a nonfiction book) and Their Eyes Were Watching God for AP English Language. I just finished reading Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen. I really like her books a lot and I recommend them to any girl who wants an easy read but a nice “relationshipy” kind of story. I probably should be reading more challenging books but I hate having to reread things multiple times just to understand it. Thanks for starting this thread to! When I finish my required stuff (hopefully before school starts) I will read some of the recommendations.

I’m required to read:
How to Read Literature Like a Professor
A Prayer for Owen Meany
The Things They Carried

Just for fun, I plan on reading Running With the Buffaloes. Everyone on my XC team has recommended it.

What’s a good book to read for the guy that is very picky about books. I just get bored from them, I need a book like The Hunger Games that will keep me entertained. Any ideas?

Graceling is so good and kind of adventurey like THG. Except with more fantasy.
