Summer reading/prep recommendations?

Hi,

I am taking AP English Lit & Comp next year as a senior and I want to get a head start on things, because I really love literature. I am not sure what school I'm going to next year, because we're moving, and I don't know where we're moving yet. These are the books that ring a bell when thinking about AP Lit, and I already have them, too:

1984
Jane Eyre
Wuthering Heights
Invisible Man (Ellison)
Slaughterhouse-5
The Stranger
Frankenstein
The Turn of the Screw
The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man

I already read:
The Catcher in the Rye
The Great Gatsby
The Color Purple
Their Eyes Were Watching God
Pride and Prejudice
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Brave New World
A Farewell to Arms
Black Boy

What about Jane Austen's books? Should I read any more of them? I have all of her books. What about Hemingway?
Any suggestions from the list I gave?

Also, anyone know of the best prep book for AP Lit?

Thanks in advance,
Brooke

I remember reading Crime and Punishment, Ethan Frome (both summer, there was multiple choices there), The Great Gatsby, Beloved, Heart of Darkness, Macbeth, and Much Ado about Nothing (after AP test). And parts of The Canterbury Tales, Paradise Lost. Perhaps one more I don’t remember. There are lists of the most mentioned books on the AP test that would help, also the best prep book is metioned in the AP tests forum.

[AP English Literature Exam Popular Titles](http://www.chelseaschools.com/library/ap_literature_popular_titles.htm)
Here’s a list of the books that show up on essay prompts the most.

Thanks!!!
