summer reading

here is my list of summer reading- i have to choose three:
*=chosen

The Road by Cormac McCarthy*
Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood*
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut*

What do you guys think of the books I chose? Are they interesting? What about the others?

Out of those, I've only read The Handmaid's Tale.
It's really good if you like books like 1984 and Brave New World. Definitely worth a read, imo. Gives a different spin on the whole dystopian universe thing.

The Road is really depressing. I wouldn't recommend it if you want light, enjoyable reading. I'd recommend Catch-22, it's really interesting.

I loved Frankenstein. Mostly because Mary Shelley is kickass.

The Road = my favorite book ever.

A Handmaid's Tale is really good too

Frankenstein was superb.
