Summer reading

Do I really have to read the book? I'm not taking any English classes and I hate reading haha..can I get away with just reading the sparknotes?

Are you referring to Beautiful Boy? I’m an incoming freshman so I really can’t answer lol. But I am planning on reading it, because it seems really intriguing. I know for honors program, there will be some academic tie-ins. But I believe that everyone will be at the speaking event with the author, so I think it’d be worth it to read it… I don’t think there are Sparknotes for this book since it’s not like a book they would typically teach in school (and it’s pretty new). Sorry I can’t offer much help! I guess it’s ultimately up to you… I don’t think you’ll be in too much trouble if you don’t read it.

im a rising senior and I have read beautiful boy and it is a great book. I would reccomend reading it and also his son’s book Tweak, by Nic Sheff

i never read the summer assignment last year (three cups of tea?) and it was never brought up in any of my classes so if you don’t want to, i wouldn’t worry about it…

Alright, I won’t worry about it then.

It probably is a good book but I just don’t like reading books, I feel like it’s a waste of time.

ya man, who do books think they are? waste of trees, waste of glue, waste of time. reading, pft, we’d be so much better without it.
