The Soloist. General book for the whole university and the author is coming to speak to my college in the fall. So excited!</p>

<p>For fun:
Hidden History.
Various Spanish literature to keep my skills sharp.</p>

Self-Read: Fountainhead (which is ironically the rising senior’s summer reading), Crucible, Les Miserables, Brave New World</p>

<p>For AP Physics:A Different Universe: Reinventing Physics from the Bottom Down</p>

<p>For AP US Gov & Politics: The Lanahan Readings in the American Polity</p>

<p>Yeah, our school didn’t give us any English summer reading books this year, but instead they gave us Science summer reading books…</p>

<p>I’m a freshie so we only have to read one book from this giant list so atleast we get a choice I think I will go with basketball diaries but if I end up feeling lazy I will just choose the outsiders since I have already read it a few time and remember people spark notes is your friend</p>

<p>When I was a freshie, I had to read four books. I always read my required summer reading books and just use spark notes a s a guide if I don’t understand something.</p>

<p>Man, I thought my school was tough. We don’t really get reading lists. They’re more like “recommended” reading. Pshh, yeah right! :)</p>

<p>Anyways I just read a novel called: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
It was amazing, about this girl coming of age in the beginning of the 20th century. If you like history and whatnot I would definitely recommend it.</p>

<p>Ohh and the Kite Runner. One of those books that changes your life, no joke.
I’m making my dad read it too haha :)</p>
