Summer is almost here. For once, I want to do something productive for my summer vacation. Can anyone reccomend a few summer science programs that accept high school freshmens and don't cost thousands of dollars to attend?

Greatly Appreciated.

i'm not too aware of any summer research programs for freshmen. one idea i have is that u can start by emailling professors at ur local university for an internship.

Here's a site with info about a summer intership for HS students in biomedical research. Freshmen MIGHT be allowed, but I'm not 100% sure.

I also found a site with links to info and applications to various summer internships that deal with the biological/natural sciences, some of them associated with colleges and universities. I hope you find one out of the list that freshmen are allowed to do and aren't too pricey.

Also, apply to one ASAP since the deadlines for some of them are coming up soon. It's also a good idea to ask one of your science teachers for a recommendation. Hope this helps!
