<p>as i understood.. ANYONE can take summer classes at cal whether ur a student or not. as long as ur willing to pony up the money for the classes they will let u take them.</p>
<p>imo, just take another CC class over the summer, cheaper, easier, blah blah.. not to mention, if ur entering cal you probably wont know th expectations.. and taking a summer class might just stuff u if ur not up to the task.</p>
<p>i'll be taking classes at UCSD during the summer and came across the same information. anyone can take summer classes as long as you are willing to pay the amount (mine are $544/course). not sure how administration works at cal but at UCSD it took a while to get it all sorted out. eventually i was pointed to their summer session website and had to print out an enrollment form, fax them the information and constantly keep on top of the registration since transfer students haven't been sent their account information yet.</p>
<p>I've heard that summer classes at Cal are considerably easier than normal classes because the instructors realize that many of the students are highschool students, old people, whatever. It might not be a bad way to get your feet wet.</p>
