Hello, I graduate high school in 2012. Im planning to play a sport in college and use summer school to lighten my course load during the season. Does Princeton have a summer school? If not, are there any other opportunities to take electives outside of my intended major (engineering or pre- medicine) at another school? Do most students travel abroad or have internships during the summer? And finally, after failing to find the stats online, what is the admission rate for Princeton students into Medical School? Thanks in advance

Do you mean if you get accepted into Princeton for Fall of 2012? I believe Princeton has summer sessions but I doubt they are open to entering freshmen. I believe they do accept outside credit but that’s something you’ll have to confirm. Princeton has extraordinary med school accept rates but that’s because it’s extraordinarily hard to be accepted at Pton.

Finally, there’s no such thing as a “pre-med” major. Correct this or betray your lack of knowledge here… Good luck to you

Princeton doesn’t offer any classes during the summer besides the global seminars (classes which take place around the world with Princeton professors). Some people do take classes during the summer at other schools - for example, someone who’s pre-med might take physics or organic chemistry during the summer (the idea being that these are hard classes, so they want to take them at an easier school when they don’t have so much other stuff to do). Princeton does give credit for classes taken during the summer, but does not give credit for college classes taken before you enroll.
