How do colleges look at courses taken over the summer? These aren't make-up, remedial courses I'm taking, by the way.

i.e. my Freshman summer I took Honors Geometry and this summer I will be taking AP American History...

Do colleges ...

A. Look at in a bad way? It's not remedial but, maybe they think I'm looking to ease up my courseload or something?
B. Look at in a good way? I'm willing to spend my summers taking classes as opposed to doing other things?
C. Really don't care? What I do is my own business?

I'm sure they look upon it in a good way. It shows you're passionate about being a student and want to learn. Just make sure your grades are good in these courses, otherwise it looks pointless.
Question though: why are you taking an AP class over the summer? You're just going to have to wait to take the test until the spring, and you probably won't do as well since you'll have that huge chunk of time in between the class and the test.

It will definitely help you. That said, however, finding a good internship or trying your hand at some research would probably help more, depending on what sort of school you're applying to, and I think it could be an enjoyable experience.
