Summer School for Credit

I'm just wondering about this.....

"Only courses failed during the school year may be made up for credit. Students are encouraged to participate in enrichment summer programs. These programs can be used to broaden students' background as well as strengthen certain weaknesses."

Does this mean if I want to get ahead...I can't.... or does this mean that I can't take the same course twice if I didn't fail?

For local high schoolers,if you want to get ahead and get high school credit you need to take/pay for the class at a private Catholic school with approval from your high school.
For example, rising sophomore kids wanting to get ahead in math, take Geometry in the summer, make a good grade on the placement test in the fall and get placed in Algebra II/Trig sophomore year.
That puts them on track for Calc BC their senior year.
StarJ-Is that what you are asking?

Go to google and search “[your state] virtual school.” You can take all the courses you want there. I completed Health and PE over the summer, so now I don’t have to do them during the school year.

Thanks! Your advice was really helpful!!!
