I took a summer school class in the summer before high school to "get ahead". It was a bad decision because it wasted time and money because I didn't need the room in my schedule. But I'm starting to think it might've been a bad decision for other reasons as well.

I got a A- in Phys Ed, largely due to the instructors intent on proving to us green-behind-the-ears incoming freshmen that high school was going to be challenging and we shouldn't expect to get A's. I mean, I got a 97% in the class and the cutoff for the A was a 98%. What an ego trip. And it wasn't like the class was easy either; I did very well on the physical stuff but they had to add an element of bookwork and testing in that class on obscure facts like "should you wear a hat when you're jogging?" The tests were difficult and I couldn't hold my average up enough to clear the hurdle. And I didn't know A-'s were different from A's at the time.

Will this impact anything?
