So right now I'm in 8th grade and I am really excited for high school! Over the summer I am going to take a geometry summer school class to get ahead. I'm just wondering what it's like. Has anyone ever been? What are the people like? Will I be the only incoming 9th grader? Should I even go to summer school or would I get picked on since most of the other people probably would be sophomores.

did anyone suggest taking it to you?

No, I just want to get ahead :)

does this persuasion have anything to do with ucla?

… Maybe… :)

I did this last year(9th grader). I took it at a prep school in Ct. It was 1/2 9th grader and 1/2 10th graders both from the prep school and from surrounding towns. The class had about 12 kids in it(Largest Geometry class!). The kids in the class were pretty chill. No you probably wouldn’t get picked on(only a jerk would pick on a freshman). The decision to take it…I don’t know, I’m starting to regret taking it because kids in the full year geometry class seem like their learning so much more(they could just be spending more time on topics than we did). Good Luck!

Thanks!I probably am going to end up taking it :)

Don’t be worried. High school isn’t really as cruel and scary as it seems to be. Most kids are mature already, and even if they’re not they won’t make fun of you. If anything, you might get a head start on making friends.

I think it’s great that your using your summer time wisely. Enjoy high school! It passes as quickly as it begins.
