Summer School

I failed English class so I'm gonna go to summer school and remake it up with an A (most likely). Do admission officers SEE my F transcript or will it be replaced with the A that I will supposedly get from Summer School?

buuuuuuumpppppp

I think all your grades will show up including the F and the A.

i think they dont see F if you make up your grade with summer school

Are you sure?!

For example, right now I have

ap calc = A
ap chem = A
french 3 = A
ap env = A
ap us = A
(english withdrawal) = F

now im going to take english in summer school and get an A, would that replace the F and bump my GPA back to 4.67?

you can do that? At my school the highest you can get in summer school is C.

answer my question plz

(i know u can get an A)

yes my friend got A on biology in summer school

how'd you get an f in english. I guess both will show, usually its failed credit, and make up course.

Now that I think about it, I think only the A will show

(Btw, I had to. They made me drop it because of an ethics violation).

But yeah, I think only the made up grade will show.

I am not so sure about that. I googled summer school policy and got this. So I assume the policy differs from school system to school system. You should ask your guidance counselor.

A. For students attending Chariho Regional High School who complete a Chariho Summer
School course, final course grades will be computed by averaging twice the semester grade
and once the summer school grade. This average must be a 65 or higher for course credit to
be awarded. This average grade will be used for sequential course placement as outlined in
the handbook.
Examples:
World Civilization - Semester grade = 60
Summer school grade = 90
60 + 60 + 90 = 210 divided by 3 = 70. Credit would be
awarded for World Civilization because the average is
above 65.
World Civilization - Semester grade = 50
Summer school grade = 65
50 + 50 + 65 = 165 divided by 3 = 55. No credit would
be given for World Civilization because the average is
less than 65.

my schools a lot nicer then....

I dont think in summer school you can get "wieghted" credit. You will get the regular credit (gpa wise)

there is no summer school for weighted classes(honor/ap/ib)
also my school remove students that has below c,or b(english) from the weighted class

yeah. im just remaking up a normal eng class for the A to replace my current F

It wasn't an AP course anyway...
