wow… same event actually. fbla is kinda pointless and i wouldn’t mind missing it for SSP. the only reason i feel obligated to go is cause my partner is a senior and if I don’t go, he can’t. what state are u from?

Hmm what a coincidence…yeah my partner will be really mad at me if I don’t go but I think SSP is definitely more important. I’m from Illinois. How about you?

utah 10char

Wow, that’s crazy! I’m also waiting for a reply from SSP, to see if I should buy the plane tickets for FBLA. And I’m on an entrepreneurship team too. ^__^

lololol. doesn’t your school pay for FBLA? what state are u from?

also, i stumbled upon this very interesting article by MIT that i encourage anyone who’s worried about their SAT score to read: [What’s the big deal about 40^2? | MIT Admissions](What’s the big deal about 40^2? | MIT Admissions)

so it’s email instead of mail now?

thanks. i’m thinking most people will prefer email. did he say anything else?

This is so funny how we’re all in the same event for fbla. Well if we don’t get to meet at SSP then maybe we’ll meet at nationals haha. Did the director say what day they’re gonna send out the emails? Thanks for emailing him btw

Interesting I thought decisions would be emailed anyway for some reason. I guess I might have something to look forward to when I get home from this college trip then.

anyway…

any REAL prediction dates for results?

What are the chances of getting in? How many other students have they waitlisted?

i think it depends on how many they accept from the U.S. pool.

Our school’s buying the tickets for us, but they want to know by today if we want to go or not… I probably won’t be seeing you guys at Nationals, I already told them I’m not going.
I’m from NJ
Oh yeah and ^you’ve already been notified that you’re waitlisted?

international applicants have already been notified of acceptance/waitlist/reject because they had an earlier deadline. u.s. applicants have not

@chingstah
Did you tell them that because of SSP? I think that if we do get into SSP then they might be willing to let us just spend a weekend away to go to nationals. The fbla letter of intent or whatever it’s called is due april 10 I think. I’m hoping we find out before then.

one of us should email SSP to ask. nose goes :)

also, from SSP website:

Q. I would have to miss some of the activities, because of [a medical condition / religious observances / an important family event / a contest / final exams / etc.]. Should I apply?
A. Probably not; late arrivals or early departures are not allowed, and required activities are scheduled every day of the program. Contact us for more information.

lolol ugh I applied too. this is scary.

Hmm well I’m thinking that hopefully we’ll find out before forms for fbla are due. And then we can contact the director and ask him about it if we make it into SSP

@siochi, are you from the us?
