Summer Science Program 2016

@coffeeaddicted
Yeah I would just love to see the decision already

From the times you researched, @coffeeaddicted, it seems like it will be some hour mod 40. (In case that helps reduce the number of times you refresh when it isn’t close to mod 40.)

buuump

Decisions are out on the SSP website!
I almost didn’t notice… it’s under Admission Decision in relatively small font.

i didn’t even realize until I saw your post @tauisgood!

Admitted! Now I have a decision to make between 2 camps

Best of luck to the rest of you!!

How do we know if we’re going to CU Boulder or NM Tech? It only says “Admitted.”

OMG I WAS ADMITTED

Wow and my prediction of around 5pm was correct!! (kind of…)

darn rejected. :frowning:

My son’s page says Admitted!!!

Now I don’t have any summer plans.
As I thought, rejected.
What a failure. All those years that I’ve worked hard for this only one program and just all those works abandoned me.
At this point, it really doesn’t matter… I didn’t really expect anything…

Kudos for those who got accepted.
Hope you guys enjoy SSP genuinely.
I will just stay in my bed for this summer…

OMG I WAS ADMITTED I LOVE BEING A GIRL

What were your guys’ stats like? I think I may have just messed up on essays. I spent my entire high school years doing math contests, and I never accomplished much either in terms of results (no olympiad qualification got 8 on AIME two years in a row due to sillies). I think I focused too much on that in my essays instead of genuine interest in research,…

they sent an email with the location

rejected :frowning:
Congratulations to everyone who got in!

…I guess I didn’t get this so-called “girl advantage” going for me this time

Rejected :’(

wait listed… does anyone know the chance for those on the waitlist? I applied to both locations

Omg I got in the alternate list. What are my chances of getting in?

@rustydreams I see the email now! Super pumped that they put me NM Tech because (although I put either on my application) CU Boulder would’ve been a disaster since school starts on August 4th for me.

@bob6500 I had Olympiad qual in math, but no significant science/research/physics/astronomy background.

I don’t think I got in just because I was a girl. If anything, the female pool of applicants at these things is pretty self-selecting, which made it really competitive for girls too.

Anyways, congrats to all who got in, and condolences to those who didn’t. You’ll find a great plan for your summer and this isn’t the end!

Oh yeah, and I’m going to be at Boulder!
