Does anyone know if there’s a Facebook group or something for the biochemistry camp?
@juan03233 Same! It means the program accepted you, but QuestBridge will still need some additional information such as a confirmation that you’re still interested and PDFs of your parents’ tax returns. I’m still waiting for whatever step comes next but so long as all of your information matches up with what you recorded on your QB account, you should be good! They’ll likely give you a call and send you an email soon
@Astro4 did you get in regular or from waitlist?
@Astro4 I got the call! Did you apply to biochem or astrophysics? From your profile pic, I have a feeling you applied to astrophysics lol. Congratulations!
Is there a group chat for SSP for Biochem?
@NoSequels I got in regular, but reading this thread it actually seems like quite a few got in off the wait list. @juan03233 Sweet! Yeah, I’m doing the astrophysics one at CU Boulder haha. Great job to you too!
Hi guys! I’ve been stalking this thread for a while but never made an account LOL. I’ll be going to the CUB program and would really love to chat with you guys before the program starts. Could someone add me to the group chat please? Thanks!
@mewang18 @Astro4 Message @schrodingersowl to get the link to the group chat that us from CC have. Congrats on getting into CUB!
@frazzledazzle Just messaged her - thanks, you too!
Anyone on the wait list sent an email requesting a status update? Like a chance/how many people are left on the wait list in comparison to the open spots?
@frazzledazzle Is there a group chat for SSP in biochem?
@juan03233 I have no idea, sorry. I only know about CUB. There probably is somewhere. Do you know about the Facebook group? It’s SSP 2017 @ Purdue.
Does anyone have a rough idea of how many people have been confirmed as attending SSP Biochem? I’m hoping somebody in a group chat can tell me so I can have a better idea of my chances.
@curiousscience Hard, as not all people accepted are from CC, therefore you’d have to check the Facebook group, which isn’t completely filled either. So best choice of action would be just to email Mr. Bowdon
Wherw did you get this info from? can you please send me the link?
@Sinphirho2 SSP says admissions process is confidential so I don’t know how many people have been accepted and what my chances are. Mr. Bowdon also said to wait until the end of the month of and update, so probably during AP Testing week. Have you emailed Mr. Bowdon (if so how did he reply)?
Hey guys! I’m a long time lurker but I finally caved and made an account. I was accepted off the alternate list to Biochem literally days ago. So don’t lose hope! It might still happen.
Does anyone know how many people are in SSP Biochem in total?
You mean like officially committed? I have no idea. They take 36 though, right?
@musephoria I mean accepted originally. I think Astrophysics is like 36, but Biochem is somewhere in the 20’s, but I’m not sure
