That’s a bit of a stretch, Selena, to say that because I know someone that knows someone who is an advisor to SSP I shouldn’t apply. Trying to knock off some of the competition, eh? ;)

sorry, i meant as in the admission staff
wouldn’t there be bias?

sigh…2 weeks is a long wait D= i hope i make it…

3 weeks is even longer…

I just want to withdraw my application to finish all the pains…

@lc wait, didn’t you already get accepted? or am i misunderstanding things here…@_@

it’s just a likely letter… I am still waiting for final decision
Besides, I have been having visa problems with my home country, so these weeks just have been a lot of pains…

oh so it’s more of a waitlist? i see…
aw, i hope everything works out great for you in the end! =D
just try to bear it a little bit more…>_<

more of a college likely letter…

I know for a fact that one can still apply if they know a board member. Because I know a board member.

@Owen:
I’m sure it’s no big deal if you know someone currently involved in the program. It’s been around since the fifties and there’s probably 2nd generation SSPers often applying. Each app is reviewed by several people so that keeps things fair and professional.

I am not worried. I just said that I KNEW it was OK.

@Selena
To clarify: if you are on a waitlist, it means that you qualify for the program but there are currently no openings. If there are future openings, depending on what number you are on the waitlist, you could get in but you cannot count on it.
A likely letter means that you are VERY likely to be admitted unless you let your grades dive or get into trouble.

SSP sends LLs lol?

@leelac
oohhhh thanks
i get it now…sorry for my ignorance =x

Wait could someone clearly explain to me what’s happening between the MITES applicants and the SSP applicants?

I have no idea. Maybe someone emailed Mr.Bowdon?

Any news? (Shameless bump)

^ nope unfortunately =(

Someone should totally contact Mr.Bowdon, maybe through some other e-mail address so he won’t recognize which applicant is annoying him… :)

Waow, I just re-read my essays and they are s***. I was so convinced when writing that I was “unique,” but ■■■■ I sound horrible. *cries. This happen to anyone else?
