^ An email from SSP that arrived 6 days ago stated that int’l decisions would be released in about two weeks. So if you’re an international, you’re looking at just over a week for decisions.

Thankyou studiousmaximus

You’re welcome, bookmarker. Good luck!

@biovball: Let’s do a comparison, shall we?

PSAT: 216 (I died)
SAT: 2260 (I died again)
SAT II: Math II 800, Chemistry 790, Physics 780
AP: Calculus AB (5), Chemistry (5), Physics B (5), Music Theory (5)
Current Classes: AP Calc BC, AP Bio, AP French 5, Biotechnology, music group, English Honors (APUSH over the summer). Still undecided about what AP tests to take this year.
GPA: 4.73/4.00
Rank: 1st? Not sure.
Extracurriculars: too long

Just wondering, are you talking about UCD Math Circle (Saturday mornings right) or ARML? Not that I’ve been going to either orz

Yeah, the Math Circle. Although I had to quit it early because I got really sick :(

I could never wake up on time to make it hum

And I’d think that you have quite a good chance in comparison to many applicants. But I’m not exactly the admissions committee. My teachers don’t let me read their recommendations O:

My teachers have never let me read mine…it seems to be the standard, anyways.

I am no judge, but I think strong extracurriculars displaying a developed interest in and passion for science/math are a good indicator. What scares me, though, is that there are so many of you with them, while I have literally nothing. Zero. Nada.

I’m still hoping though ; u ;

winslow, you have a 2400!

Clearly you are very bright, so if you showed at least a significant passion for science, you stand a good chance. :D

Hope we both get accepted!

thanks biovball, you too! C:

I hope SSP accepts me… MITES is looking down for me because only 2 got in and there’s a lot of African Americans here who are more under priviledged

hopepediatrician did you ever get things figured out?

dhg2011,

Yes the SSP application page was updates last week, I think.
They received everything- thank god!
Thank you ~ Everyone in this thread is so nice! I hope I get accepted and get to meet these wonderful people :)

last year they were released around april 11th for domestic…

Can anybody connect to the homepage summerscience.org? Is it down or something?

It’s down for me as well.

I can get on it.

It’s back up for me now.

Hooooooooooray!!!
