Congrats, BioLiu!

@StudiousMaximus Thank you! I’m from China and I got the admission e-mail almost at once.
Hope that we can meet at SSP this summer, best wishes for you!!!

@BioLiu: Haha, thanks for the encouragement! I actually lived in Beijing for a few years (and, coincidentally, wrote about it in one of my essays). China’s awesome!

Congrats BioLiu! Hope to see you there this summer if I get accepted :D

International alternate list. (Indian applicant)
Oh well Any Indians here who got accepted?

@HatsOnAKabob Hope you can get admitted!

I have known one girl in Bangalore called Sadhana who was admitted.
And that was the only one I know so far…

I was still struggling to find the other SSPer in China cuz there used to be 2 or 3 Chinese SSPers every year.

@biovball Thx! I have read your posts and I think you have a good chance!

In fact I haven’t even take an SAT so far, owning just some plain scores on SAT II (M2,PH,CH) and TOEFL.
So its definitely my inspired answers, math dissertations and fabulous recs that work!
There are many SAT 2300ers in China but I am also admitted, so I think the standardized scores are not sooooo important, esp for international applicants.

@BioLiu

Thanks. And congratulations :)

Any chance you know what school she’s from?

@HatsOnAKabob She didn’t tell me…
I know little about Indian schools so…sorry.

But you may find her on facebook or any Indian local website.

Ugh, they made a mistake on my score by changing it? What the heck

Hmmmmmmm so 27% of getting in by chance?

@biovball
Hi. I’m also an international applicant. Can I ask when you received your decision email/letter? I’ve been waiting a couple days but haven’t received any decision email whatsoever. I’m SUPER anxious…

@sk5768
The accurate time is Fri, Mar 15th, 2013 at 8:59 AM (eastern time zone) for international applicants. You can ask the program director at admissions@ssp.org.

Are rejections conveyed? I’ve been waiting for quite some time now. And need to know…yes or no? :/

@Planet123
Rej and Waitlist results are also conveyed.
You still haven’t got any verification? Maybe NM is quicker than CA, and countries like China may get results earlier so…

Same for me. I sent them an email this morning.

Have US applicants received decisions yet? Because I haven’t heard from them.

No, they come out in mid-April.

I applied this year as a sophomore. 220 PSAT (supposed to be 230, scoring machine went ballistic) with A’s in AP Calculus BC and AP Computer Science. 4.00 GPA unweighted, 4.43 weighted. 1 out of a class of 500. Finalist (top 5 in world) for international S&E comp. How are my chances?

Haven’t taken many SAT II’s, I got 780 on Bio M though and 800 on Chinese w/ Listening (completely irrelevant).

Stats don’t mean to much. everyone applying has good scores and grades. your chances are probably about the same as everyone else’s based on your stats - like 10 percent (possibly lower this year). If you wrote fantastic essays, higher.
