So it seems that the talk on this thread is going to close?
Alright, we may help the following applicants in the “SSP 2014” thread in the future! Haha

Hope that all SSPers can have a great time at SSP!

Do you guys have any questions about ssp? What the experience is like, etc

So is anyone here who was accepted not going to attend? I am on the alternate list and this is pretty much my last hope, so it would be nice to have some :)

I’m going to remain hopeful, regardless. A few alternates went last year, so we shan’t give up, fellow alternates! :D

I got in off the waitlist last year, and my friend’s brother got off the nm waitlist this year. Just wait- I’m sure a few of you will get some good news!

Someone already got off the waitlist this year?? Aw man :(

It takes time… Lol I was thinking the same thing last year, but like 1-2 weeks later, I got in!

Thanks, that is somewhat relieving. I’m going to start applying to some local stuff and maybe I’ll get lucky and hear back from SSP or HSHSP.

Should I send in my resume? I never actually sent in the optional supplementary info and it has some things that weren’t anywhere on my application, like an internship.

I would have… That’s always a good idea

Got in from the alternate list on the 24th! I’m so excited for SSP :D

Are rejection letters out?

Rejection letters for waitlisted students?

yes that’s what I meant

I’m afraid I can’t answer that. If you haven’t been rejected yet, there’s always hope. As far as I can tell though, Westmont is all filled up, so your hopes are riding on NM, and I don’t have access to that group.

How do you know Westmont is full? Are you basing it on the FB group memebers

When I got in from the waitlist, I was assigned to Westmont, but Mr. Bowdon tentatively assigned me to New Mexico because Westmont was full. He told me that he would ask for any volunteers in the Westmont session who would be willing to switch with me, and I guess he pulled through for me since I was accepted into the Westmont FB group.

When I applied, I specifically preferred the Westmont campus over the New Mexico one.

Hope that helps? (:

I am glad it worked out for you, do you think there is still hope at NM?

I wouldn’t give up hope. Until Mr. Bowdon actually sends out an email to you with a rejection, there is hope. He’s pretty friendly, so I suggest emailing him to know your chances.
There’s 30 members in the New Mexico FB group and there are 38 members in the Westmont FB group, so there should be 8 spaces or so left.

Thanks and will do.
