2: Chris, "oasis", Taiwan, OJAI (hey what's up with cutting us out? =p)

YAY for more Ojai people! (though we're still severely underrepresented =p)

It makes me wonder...does all of the other Ojai people not have internet or something? =p

Aircraft: Something that is safe. LOL.

City: Sydney, Australia; by far. What a habitable place to live.

Season? I like Taiwanese winters (about 15 C) and northeastern American summers (it's only mostly around 20-30 C when it often gets to 37-40 C in Taiwan).

Most (or probably all) of the Ojaiers are from California. From the statistics Bowdon gave me, 26 of the 72 accepted were Californians. I don't think very many SSPers from California look on CC.

Haha, I made this earlier in the SSP thread but people just ignored it after a while. Ah, people tend to do that with me, anyhow.

I haven't seen "Stand and Deliver"; you should bring it :P
I'm defin. bringing the Kobe 81 memory video on DVD...and making everyone watch on SUnday...cracks evil laugh

I'm from California! but for some reason I'm going to Socorro... but I'm not complaining =D

Does anyone know which campus is supposed to have better food? Better rooms? A library?

Since Socorro has a golf course nearby (see your handbook),we can compute this in terms of golf scores - and since Ojai has less people here so far, then, logically, the Ojaiers win.

How about this question: What airline are you flying to your location? Is it out of choice or for the fare? Or are you driving?

For me, United, by choice, because I like listening to the air traffic control on United aircraft. For those of you flying into Albuquerque, I was just there about three weeks ago - I think you'll find it the smallest but cleanest airport you've ever been it.

In our calc class we got to watch Saving Private Ryan (though the teacher was squeamish). I've heard of Stand and Deliver but have never seen it. Have all your AP classes slackened up since the test? For some bizarre reason we continue to do test prep in chemistry...

Also, does anyone have demographics or class sizes from Dr. Bowdon?

Sorry I didn't see the other list from earlier...

I'm traveling on American Airlines because thats they had the cheapest flights. I'm glad to hear that the Albequerque airport is nice... (and small... I hate big confusing airports... I got lost at Washington Dulles airport when I was 6 lol... I still don't like that place much)

I've heard the Socorro food isn't so good (I can't remember where I read that though) From the New Mexico Tech website, it seems as though the dorms and the library are very nice.

I saw "Stand and Deliver" a long time ago, in 6th grade math I think. I remember it as being a really really good movie though. In my calculus class, we're watching "Proof" which is good, but only because it has Jake Gyllenhaal in it swoons no I take that back, its as good as a math/romance film can be lol

Demographics/class sizes... I have no idea, though I can tell you there will probably be significantly more guys than girls, cause thats how these types of programs usually turn out to be. :)

wow... slightly less than 22% of the girls who applied got in. I actually would have expected the opposite- that it would be slightly easier for a female applicant to get accepted. Thats always how its been at my school-- there is little to no competition for girls in math and the sciences, and often allowences made in order to include more girls, but there is always fierce competition amongst the guys.

It is 24 days, 23 hours, 10 minutes and 46 seconds until Sunday, June 18, 2006 at 2:00:00 PM (Albuquerque time)

The acceptance rate's probably a little less than that because there are probably four or five people like me who were admitted last year amd who aren't counted here as applicants. Then again, there are probably a few people like that who got deferred admission this year who would otherwise be counted as rejects, so it depends on how you view it.

Haha, I'm glad someone noticed I was gone :P
Its good to be missed, Hriundeli!

I wasn't doing much though, should be studying but really, just hanging around the CC website, reading but always failing to write comments because my comments would never be cool enough :/ lol

Ahh, its so hot in New Mexico! I'm burning up.....whew and its sad because tomorrow is the VERY LAST DAY OF THE 05-06 SCHOOLYEAR! AND I'M NOT READY FOR THE YEAR TO BE OVER! CRIES All the memories......gah, I hate change! I really, really do :(

....But! This brings me closer to SSP, a happy and wonderful thought INDEED^^ ahh, a whole summer AWAY from my family...gahh, makes me all fuzzy inside. its refreshing...like a sonic slurshee thingie..

And oasis....
Really....lol. I got rejected from TASP and waitlisted at RSI.....I guess for obvious reasons keke.

When do your schools end? When did they start? Mine doesn't end for almost another month, on Monday, June 19. We started something like September 8.
