Summer Science Program (SSP)

yar. our chances are significantly lowered =(

Yea, by about 1 whole percentage point lower...

oh, come on, you guys can't be serious :))))

Yea, I know. The chance that the only people they actually notified all happen to be on CC and have posted their decisions is slim.

Good news for someone on the waitlist. I got accepted into SSP in the first round, but I just found out yesterday that I made it into RSI.

lol i got rejected from RSI too, but if RSI accepts enough people that applied to SSP, they might be doing me a favor anyway lol

runthink, take RSI so you give the ssp people a slightly higher chance. =D

lol. jk

But anyways... let's hope for the best

Don't worry, I won't pass up RSI for anything.

Yea, that's the smart decision runthink-all, I'm glad you made the right choice and I didn't have to hire venomous monkeys to sway your decision.

are the majority of people applying to SSP RSI-material?! if so, i don't stand a chance =</p>

^no, NO WAY. (cough me)

hey my parents asked for a gross amount of financial aid based on thier salary and acknolwedge that they prolly will get very little. But my q is that will that hurt my app that my parents asked for so much?

oh narcissa, i was going to add "(like narcissa)" in there :P

you don't have to hide your pro AIME and fizix science math skillz haha. i know you're super smart and everything.

A-card: they said that the request for fin. aid doesn't influence their decision. The thing is, they don't even look on your app. for fin. aid until they have already accepted you.

one more week? right ? right ? im so excited woot this is exciting

I thought it wasn't till April 30th....
Let's say 3 weeks. lol

really? but the EA guys (lol EA) got their decisions 2 weeks after

there's something i don't understand... the 3-4 week count starts from the time they received your application? or from the second deadline? i'm really confused...

They say they "start evaluating applications the day after the first round deadline" and then they say they will take 3-4 weeks to evaluate your application.

I wish they'd hurry up! I have a frickin visa to worry about!

yeah, well, nearly 5 weeks have passed since i got my email and still no news:(((
