Summer Seminar Question

Does anyone know if you can choose which session of Summer Seminar you attend if you get in?

Due to the high tourist season around here, school starts after Labor Day, meaning we don't get out of school until mid- June. I checked the dates for the Summer 2006 NASS and I literally get out of school the day before the 3rd and final session starts.

When applying for NASS do you have to designate which week? Is it more difficult to get into a specific week?

Thanks!

My son had the same problem. He had to miss a day (but it was a scheduled final day and he made it up ahead so he didn't actually get counted as absent).

Pick the one you want...they will know why. Apply early (Feb 1) to get your first choice. Your BGO will communicate to them that you are willing to take another session if that is all that USNA can make available to you...just let your BGO know what your doing...AT ALL TIMES!

Good Luck!

last summer our daughter was assigned one - but in the application process you are asked to rank which weeks work for you - so you can at least hope for your 1st choice - which is what my daugther got.

When my dd applied last year, there was only one week that worked for her due to other travel commitments. There was no problem--but the earlier you apply, the more likely you are to get the one you want. The later sessions fill faster as more students have conflicts with the earlier sessions.

i had the same problem with school and you get to choose your week. they even let me change weeks about two months before i left.
