Hey --

Does anybody from last year’s Summer Seminar have any ideas about which workshops are worth taking? I imagine they’re all great; I just want to see if any stood out for any of you all.

Thanks much!

Don't we already have a thread on War Poetry? ;)

Definitely definitely definitely do the International System Simulation (the Political Science one). It's worth it. It's fun, too. Basic Cadet Training is fun. I liked it. Chemistry was decent..

Honestly it doesn't matter what ones you pick, becuase there is no set way they assign people. You will get into some that you ranked high and then you will get into some that you ranked very low.

Small-Scale Rocket Design & Test
Introduction to Air Force Aviation
International System Simulation
Introduction to Airmanship
Basic Cadet Training

All of those were pretty good! Rocket Design was really fun. I didn't get into Air Force Aviation or Airmanship, but heard both were awesome. Some people liked photography a lot. I did analysis on water, that was cool because we got to be outside. A lot of the classes were boring, it was being out of class that was cool.

DEFINITELY place International System Simulation high on the list!
Rocket design was cool, we had a competition to see whose went the farthest...with some funny results.
I can't remember if it was Air Force Aviation or Airmanship that got time on the simulators. (somebody else remember?)

For the outside events, when they say a hike is strenuous, they are serious. (If you are from near sea level, you need to drink lots of water)
