Summer Session at Berkeley

Hey guys. I am planning on coming in this summer for the Summer Session at Berkeley. Do you guys know where a good place to stay would be? I wont be able to live on campus so where is a good area. What would the cost be to do that.

Also are there any Public Health/Biology/Neurosciences etc profs to stay away from when considering registration? Are there any linguistics or French profs to avoid?

Thanks so much.

also how many units do most people take.

8 units. which is basically equal to 16 units regular semester.

there should be alot of students subletting their apartments.

so it would be hardcore to take a language course during summer? cause chinese 1ax is like 10 units alone... ><

Try to find a friend who's subletting an apartment. If you have friends who are staying in an apartment next year, they'll probably get it for the summer and chances are either they or their apartmentmates won't be there over the summer.

I understand the fraternities rent out their rooms and they are cheap. You might want to try that.

Yes, most apartments are leased year round, so you could sublet and many frats rent rooms quite cheaply
