Summer Session at UCSD

Is anyone going to be taking summer classes at UCSD? I just signed up for 4 classes because I want to get most of my unfinished prereqs out of the way as quick as possible.

Yeah I will be. Freakin expensive too. I’m taking 4 classes myself… and that’s at $1,200 a class + books.

Did you sign up this morning? I got right on when visiting students could sign-up and am still on a waitlist for Phys 2A. I’m number 5 though and the class has 100 seats so I’m thinking I’ll still get the class.

You can sign up even though you don’t start until Fall?

@UChope I’m signing up later today but all my classes are open at this point.

@Essenar, you can, but you pay a grip for it. $290 a unit I think.

We can’t take more CC classes?

You can, but some people want to get more done so I guess the 4 week summer sessions at UCSD are what they’re doing.

I’m taking 13 units at Mesa college over summer. I would try to take one more class at UCSD as a guest, but I can’t afford that.

Sure, if you want to.

But there are classes at UCSD in the summer that I can’t take at my CC, including upper division classes.

Is there anyway to take a Math class this summer there? Like as in the transfer level math? I’m not doing to hot in mine currently this semester.

How do you register for the class? I click on the “Schedule of classes” link but cannot figure out how to actually register. Thanks!

Go to my tritonlink and click of the link webreg. From there you will select the term (summer session 1,2 or special) and then you can enroll from that. If you haven’t already, you need to do the application which doesn’t involve filling out anything, just merely clicking a link, if you applied for the Fall already.

Also, when I spoke to the summer session admin person she said students who will enroll in the Fall are considered current students for tuition purposes. I think that saves a bunch of fees that you would have to pay as a visiting student.

For a second I thought you were talking to yourself.

I’m getting an infinite loop error when I click on the application for summer link.

I just got through and got my application through. I signed up for only one class, and I’m going to think about how I can pay for it over the next few weeks lol. I signed up for Chemistry 6A.

My community College planned course work:
Calculus 2 - 4 units.
Physics 1 - 5 units.
C++ Programming - 4 units.

And at UCSD - Chemistry 6A 4 units.

This sounds crazy but Chemistry will only be June 28th through July 31st. The C++ is online and I heard it’s a really easy version. This seems like a lot, but I really need to see if I’m UCSD Bioengineering material. That and with so many pre-req’s missing, I don’t want to spend 3 years at UCSD finishing.

I’m getting that loop error message too, when I click the link…
