Summer Session?

Hey guys Ive got a questipn about summer session (i almost feel stupid asking this)

Is it a head start (U still have fall classes, buit you start early)
Or do you only take classes in the summer somehow?

You start in the summer and also do fall, so it is a head start. By taking some courses in the summer, your schedule for fall will be lighter.

ahh I took it the wrong way :P
I can call and have it changed to summer session cant I? (I would actually like to do SS)

If you have already submitted your app and they have not mailed out a decision, e-mail them telling them so and you should be fine.

This is what confused me
"If you have questions about summer or would like to change your University Park offer of admission from fall to summer, please send us an e-mail by clicking on the "Email Us" button on our Web site."
It said offer of admission from fall to summer so I started to think they meant to somehow just work during summer :P

The only difference is that you start in the summer summer and stay for fall as opposed to just starting in the fall. You'd be going to UP a few weeks after you graduate from HS (sorry, no summer vacation). I think, however, the good things about summer outweigh not having a summer vacation, but that's just me. Oh and, did I mention it gets very hot during the summer at UP and there's no air conditioning? (unless you have allergies...) :(

crap didnt know about no AC......Ill bring my own lol :P
I also think SS would outweigh a summer vacation (Its at UP and your meeting new people anyway, plus your getting a start on courses)
Z5sharp are you applying for SS?

I think I'd rather go on Vacation. Every year I go up to Canada for about 2 or 3 weeks. And quite frankly, I'd rather do that then go to College.

see Joey I dont really go on much vacation anyway :) however If i Can travel with you ill be happy to switch back to reg (or if anyone is willing to giev me a free trip for that matter)......lol :P

lol. I actually still might consider the LEAP program thing, if it doesn't fall into those 3 weeks of Vacation. Other than that, I'll probably have to get a Job and work over the summer.

Can you study abroad for your first summer session? then you could do both at the same time!

I believe I could probably Study quite a few broad's at Penn State's Fall session as well.

yeah How is the Study Broad Program at Penn State? I heard it great :)

So what is the difference between LEAP and SS? Are both 6 weeks long or just LEAP? Im currently planning on starting at UP in the Fall, but thought SS/Leap looked good since I was not so sure about the whole 40,000 students thing, but I don't really get the differences in terms of classes, housing, credit, cost, time, activities?? thaaanks
