What's the allotted amount of classes one can take during the summer? There are 5 or 6 sections labeled A through E, right?

Do they overlap?

Can one take 4 or 5 classes during the summer?

do you take 4 or 5 classes in summer back in high school?

I only took Chem 3A/L (5 units) during Session C and I WANTED TO DIE. Take only easy A courses or one course if you really need to get it done like I had to get chem done :/.

Let’s assume you take 5 classes. (3.5 units per class since some are 3 and some are 4… so I’ll split the difference)

5 * (3.5 units) = 17.5 units. That’s a regular semester worth of units… and since summer sessions are even shorter than the regular semester, the workload will be ~2x as much.

I doubt anyone would want to do this. (not sure if its even allowed).

I’m not stating that I’ll be taking 4 or 5 classes. I’m just inquiring to whether or not it’s possible.

I should have rephrased it as: Is there a unit ceiling for summer sessions at Berkeley? (i.e. 20 units maximum for fall and spring semesters without a waiver)
