Hey!

Let's say I'm attending a CC in Cali and I'm thinking about where to take my summer classes. Taking them at a great university (like Berkeley) wouldn't make a difference for my academic progress since I can take equivalent classes at my CC.

However, would it improve my chances for transfer admissions? Do officers look at it and say "He can have A's at university too, his GPA isn't restricted to the "easy" CC classes". Or doesn't it really matter since the classes are equivalent anyway?

I'm thinking mainly about the money here. But I'm an international student, so the difference of cost between CC classes and a Summer Session at a university isn't as big as for US-citizens (maybe ~$2500 vs. ~$4500). Do you think the ~$2000 more are worth it?

Thank you!
