Summer Study Plan for 2000+?

Anyone have a summer plan for someone to get a 2000+ score?

Zombie,

You should be a little more specific here. What did you get on your PSAT in each individual area? Did you already take an SAT? Have you done any prep already? It’s hard to give you advice without a little bit of information.

I agree. So far I am planning to:

Sleep

Eat real food again

Buy the Blue Book

Start doing a Practice test per Saturday

Have Mondays: Writing Day
Tuesday: Grammar Day
Wednesday: Math Day
Thursday: Vocab Day
Friday: Reading Day

Study for 1 hour/day. Nothing less, and likely nothing more.

I really do strongly believe that a good CR score can be helped by reading “good” literature, just like writng is helped by practice. Will this plan probably fall through during summer? Maybe, but every bit I do will count.

@DrSteve Sorry, I haven’t taken the PSAT, no sat yet, took a powerscore course (still have the sessions recorded) and I have multiple review books.

@

do what livefor is doing… Buy the blue book and spent one day on each section. I’m doing it like this Monday + Wednsday- CR, Friday+ Tuesday- Math, Thursday- Writing (only one day for writing because I’m already good in it), then Saturday I go over everything and Sunday I rest and do vocab.

Okay I’m kind of disappointed. On my March SAT I got 1870.(640 M 600 CR 630 W 9 on essay) I barely studied and got a 1940 on a practice I took on Monday (680 M 620 CR 640 W 12 Essay). Then I took another one today and got (630 M 540 CR 590 W 10 Essay). I don’t know if I just wasn’t feeling, but I wish I had a little more consistency. I am studying 3 hours a day and taking another practice test Saturday and then next Wednesday. Do you think I should worry if my test date is June? What are your thoughts?

Hopefully yours taking test from the CB blue book, I say revise all the questions you got wrong and reallly realllly tryto understand why you got it wrong. Also even look at the questions you got right… Study this summer, summer is great for studying and don’t stress yourself out. 3 hours a day, hopefully you take breaks in between, sittin down and studying 3 hours in a row will make your brain tired and it won’t work as well as it did when you took break. I say study 1 1/2 hours take a 20-30 minute break and then go backand study another 1 1/2 hours. Hopefully that works :)

Thanks writercolumbia. Actually the tests I’ve been taking are PR tests. Maybe I’ll one in the BB.

^Umm I think he was talking to me…

And especially rdpgn you should get the CB blue book because only they have accurate test, I here that Barrons is bad and PR is okay. So I say use PR test and CB test too. I use both and study hard this summer to the both of you (Zombie and rdpgn)

The only way to pass is to study… right :)
