Since I'm a junior transfer, I've pretty much closed off the opportunity to study abroad, which is fine because I was never too into the idea in the first place. My family probably couldn't afford it and I wasn't ready then to face completely new people/places/cultures.

But the school I transferred to (I've been told in sparse detail) has a committee that gives grants and the like to people who give proposals for study or research or projects to pursue outside of college over the summer. I was very excited by this, because its not a whole semester and I won't have to spend my parent's money on this. I need to be chosen for this (the pool shouldn't be TOO big, I go to a school of like 1400-1500 total students, most of them not in the arts) and the proposal needs to be something that my school DOESN'T OFFER.

I would LOVE to study in the UK, London in particular because I am a theater student hoping to make theater/cinema/writing my livelihood. Performing Shakespeare would be novel for me.

I just don't know about available (and awesome) summer study abroad programs. Please help me with suggestions or websites!

Thank you!
