Okay so long story short, I'm wondering what the best work situation could be for me this summer - if anybody has any suggestions for jobs. My main goal is to make as much money as possible. Here's my work history/life story haha:

I've been working pretty much since I was 15, and am now in the middle of my freshman year of college. Some of my past jobs include secretary/receptionist at a psychotherapy clinic (one year), camp counselor (one summer), a year's worth of retail (some of this is food retail, the rest is your average selling-clothes-and-stuff-retail), and a little bit of temping in offices, as well as some bartending.

I'm very proficient with everything having to do with computers, and I'm fabulous with children. I'm CPR/First Aid certified, have a bartenders certificate (I took a course last summer), have a valid driver's license, am very polite/customer service-oriented. Very natural leader, but also work well in a team/group situation. Ridiculously organized. Yada yada yada.

My favorite jobs were definitely secretary/receptionist and camp counselor. The office I worked in doesn't have any available hours for me this summer (and if so, they would be few and far between, so I'm not really interested). The camp I worked at will definitely take me back as a counselor, but I'm not really sure the hours are worth the money I got out of it. I made $300 a week and was there/traveling to/from the "camp" (it's an arts camp in a lovely building, not outdoorsy at all) from about 8 AM to 5 PM. If I can teach a class (which is probably going to be an option as their former tap teacher is no longer with them, and I happen to tap - I go to school for musical theatre haha), I can probably throw in another $50 or so a week, but that's still sorta eh. I was considering pairing this up with a nighttime job, so that could be an option as well.

Bartending isn't unenjoyable, but I don't love it. Also, it's really hard to just go right to bartending where I'm from (Connecticut), especially at my age. Most people tend to have to work their way up from at least barback, even with a bartending class/certificate behind them and a little experience.

Besides asking for suggestions, I'm curious as to how much some camps can pay. I know how much mine does, but I wonder if maybe like a sleepover camp or something that's longer than six weeks (oops, forgot to mention that) would pay more. Same for waiter jobs. Also, maybe secretary jobs, too - but most people who get hired for secretarial/receptionist positions tend to not be seasonal workers, so I don't know. I was really planning on staying at school through the summer, but I go to school in NYC and have my own apartment here, and I just really need to take a few months off to just concentrate on working and get some funds going back into my account, to lessen the pain that student loans will certainly bare on me in a few years. So more than anything, I really just need to make as much money as possible.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
