Summer

Oh and the third poetry reference … I used a conceit common in John Donne poems (the sun).

I think I meant it to be a physiological reference (to myself). But feel free to interpret it as you wish :).

And haha for the first minute I was staring at that quote and I even Google’d the quote because I forgot I had written that :p.

I <3 summer … :). I’m glad you enjoyed summer’s lines.

Initially, I know that summer is sorta presented as a kind of one-dimensional character that only know how to smile or make hearts with her hands, etc. I elevated summer toward the latter half by letting her inner genius *shine/i through her oh so soft and diaphanous epidermis (lol bio again).

I wonder if I could have done more to make summer appear as an intelligent character rather than as a flat character with no charm that isn’t skin-deep. I oddly feel indebted to the character, summer. She has taken a life of their own. I feel an odd sensation of guilt around my throat and heart …

Perhaps they’ll return to CC one day. A sequel :D! Part II :D!

But for now, they’re happy on CC :). Preserved … not on a Grecian Urn … but in binary  (another poetry reference).
