Summer

Hi, I will be a Sophomore next year (Class of 2016), and this summer I focused my time this summer on working out (lol) and focusing on SAT's, planning to finish it off this year.

Basically, before college, I will have two more summers (>>Junior and >>Senior) not including the summer right before college.

So I have several options for next summers (I'd like to plan it out earlier in time):

Research/Paid Internship
Summer Program
Summer School (raises GPA slightly - for better class rank, I don't need the credit)
Visiting colleges/traveling
Attempt* to start a small business
Job

Realistically I'm planning on doing something along the lines of an internship one summer, then a summer program the next. What kinds of internships are the "best", and how to find them? Should I change my choices? Just looking for some advice, thank you in advance!

Ways to find internships:

  1. Apply for them. There are lots here:
    [Internships | JHU CTY](http://cty.jhu.edu/imagine/resources/internships/index.html)
  2. Ask around, basically.

An ideal internship is paid and enjoyable, IMO, but you’re probably unlikely to find that sort of thing as a high school student. I don’t think any kind is better than any other.
