Summers Essay

The Princeton app requires an essay that is stated

"Please tell us how you have spent the last two summers, including any jobs you have held."

Now, I haven't spent them twiddling my thumbs, but I feel intimidated because I didn't choose to attend one of those entire-summer "nerd camps" or the governor's school. I did take a few interesting trips (to the adirondacks with my friends to take a canoe trip), but my common app essay already describes a scene from that trip.

I mainly spent my summers working and having a life, I push myself during the school year, I guess it was a mistake to take my summers easy?

More specifically, should I approach this in a broad sense, or should I try to illumintate only certain events, and try to convey a specific message?

Thanks guys, everyone on this site has been amazing so far

Just admit it. Say MAN I HAD FUN. Just not in such terms. You know? They'll appreciate your contribution to the student body if anything....and see that you're more than numbers and have personality

hey…should i start the essay witha quote or something? if yes, then what type of quote should i use?
