Sun Block

OK, kind of a random thread, but how often do you guys apply sun block? Every time you go out (even if it's just to the store)? When you're out extensively (playing basketball)? What SPF sun block do you guys use?

I just played baseball for three hours, and I noticed how dark I've gotten from playing all these years.

I use like 15 SPF when I am out swimming or something for an extended period of time. I already burned once this year and I have pasty-white British skin so I don't like to burn. Meh.

Every single time I go outside for virtually any (5 minutes or more) period of time.

I usually use spf 45.

In AZ you tend to burn rather quickly. :)

I live in TX and only use it if I'll be outside for 30+ minutes or have my shirt off.

i put moisturizer with spf 15 on my face every single day.
if i'm at the beach or pool or something, i'll usually always put sunscreen on

I use it primarily when I go swimming or if I'm camping. Lately I've been using SPF 50.

I am a life gaurd and on the swim team. I would be very cripsy, peely, and reb is I did not apply it.

I put on sunscreen whenever I'm at the beach or pool or whatever. And I apply nothing less than SPF 30 (hooray for being pale!)

Ironically, it's always hot here, but I only put it on at the beach using SPF 30.

Oh yeah, and the myth about black people not tanning/sunburning...not true!

I'm not very motivated to use sunscreen, because I pretty much never burn. When I went to the beach in Spain (first time ever on a beach), I wore SPF 15 store brand sunscreen that I applied once, thinking I'd burn otherwise. At the end of the day, I didn't even look like I'd been outside. I really don't like how it makes my skin feel oily anyway.

Only when I go to Six Flags.

I'm not afraid of the sun!!! Sometimes I get a nice tan but I don't burn.

Only when I'm lifeguarding at the beach.

I've never had sunburn, so I don't bother, but I have gotten pretty dark this summer.

at beach/pool 10-4 = every 2 hours, at least half hour before i go out (honestly)
after 4= usually nothing

it sounds completely anal to do it that much, but i got the WORST burn in miami after being outside for about an hour and a half and not applying it on one little area of my back (can't reach it, got everything else)

also, i use anything over 30 that has a good quantity ratio and has UVA/UVB protection..this usually ends up being 50 or 80, though i know it doesn't matter over 30, it's just cheaper

I hate using sunblock. If I do, I just don't tan.

I only use it if I am going to the lake. When I do wear it, I buy the max spf they sell. I burn really easily (not in tanning beds, but in the sun) and after getting blisters once, I know to never skip it. I usually only go 2 hours before reapplying.

never use it unless i'm outside for longer than 6 hours at a time

dumbest thing I've heard: I'll just use tanning lotion so that when I do burn it will turn into a tan.

Lol, this got moved to CC cafe so lots more people are coming here. I don't use it very much, actually...I wear a hat. but of course occasionally...

im a lifeguard and never use sunscreen
im also white with freckles, but i dont burn anymore; my skin color makes some people think im hispanic now
