<p>I would ignore what one of the poster's said about a 1450 SAT cutoff point. This is probably the most valuable part of the thread:
"According to the admissions office, only a few hundred CAS applicants get the letter. Let's say 500 out of about 20,000 got it...that's 2.5% of the applicants...so probably less than 5% of students that will eventually be admitted got the letter(of course, that depends upon whether the number was closer to 200 or to 1000). <p>hmm...i wonder. what if you get an invite and you don't go? will nyu assume you're not interested in their school?</p>
<p>Probably not. Many won't be able to go because of prior engagements or the inability to get to NYC.</p>

<p>I got one in the mail today but I live really close (Long Island) so I'd probably be one of the first people to receive one. Keep waiting... they're coming....and good luck to all.</p>
