Sunday january testing

Hey Billa did you have the same test as us? What kind of experimental section did you have? Also can you remember any of the questions? Did you have the electoral college passage? Let me know so that we can be sure that you had the same test.
THANKS
Also if you did did you put “qualification” or “argue against change”

Um, Sabra, I was under too much stress to bother figuring out which type of experimental section I had, but I can assure you I didnt have math. I remember that in the reading section, there came two passages about the issue of cameras in courtrooms. I dont recall anything about an electoral college passage. I think that since we had the tests at different times, we may have been given different tests. Because, the writing prompt was the same through out india, but you guys got a different prompt.

oooo then maybe you had a different test… in fact I’m positive we did. Additionally the essay prompts ON THE SAME TEST vary as well even on the same date in the same country… but if you didnt have the electoral college then you didnt have the same test  is this your first time taking it?

yup, and I feel I did fine, but I’m still damn scared about the essay. Can u explain to me how the entire writing section is scored, and how much the essay matters? Can I get 9 or 10 on the essay and still get a close to perfect score?

By the way, which country are you from, and which grade are you in. Is it ur first time writing the test?

im in 11th grade and yes this is my first time.the essay is graded on a pretty predictable scale. If you wrote two full pages with at least 4 paragraphs and fancy words and not HUMONGOUS handwriting, then you should be scoring at LEAST a 10.

Lol, ok. I wrote like 1 and 4/5th pages. Yea, I varied sentence structure. My friend took coaching and he says his teacher told him that quantity matters a lot in the essay. Apparently the readers get only a minute or two to grade each essay, and they are given scanned copies which are quite hard to read some times. How did it go for you?

I’m from the USA

Nice, I used to live in California. So, you ready for the SAT scores? Im really nervous.

It went pretty well I think i wrote 2 full pages, an intro 2 body and a conclusion. Aiming for a 10, could be 11 or 12 if im lucky.

nice, how was the multiple choice part of the grammar section for you?

too easy. Im scared that the curve will be unbearably harsh, but I think a perfect writing score for me is within reach… what part of cali did u use to live in? just curious

I lived in Torrey Pines in San Diego. Do you live in San Diego?

oh my god i live in torrey pines! I went to Carmel Valley Middle School!

Whoaaaa ****! I didnt go to Carmel Valley though. See, like, I went to Mesa Verde Middle School. And then I went to Westview, cuz we first owned a house whose address fell under Westview and Mesa Verde. When I was in beginning of 9th we moved to Torrey Pines. At the end of 9th, I moved to India  So, I’m guessing you go to Torrey Pines High school. I know a few people of our age who went to Carmel valley middle school and then torrey pines high school

HAHhaha i actually ended up going to La Jolla COuntry Day School. but I have sooooooo many friends that go to torrey pines
