Hey, can anyone who has lived or is living in Sunset Village show me some pictures or give me a good description of the size of the room (w/ private bath). I've looked at the virtual tour and it seems a little bigger than the usual dorm room. I just need to estimate how much I should bring. I appreciate it. Thanks!

It's gonna be difficult to be precise since you have three sets of buildings (Delta Terrace, Canyon Point, Courtside). Within each particular set of buildings, it varies slightly between the rooms (floor area and actual dimensions).

It so happens that Delta Terrace has the largest rooms of the three and Courside is on the flipside. Generally speaking, SV rooms are larger than res halls, but smaller than the new buildings.

My Canyon Point room was about 12'x10', excluding the bathroom/closet area. To put it into perspective, it's basically like twice the length of the XL twin beds by the length of the bed + the width of the desk. Each closet (sliding doors) was maybe 4' wide? It has one rack and a top shelf. The bathroom also has cabinets and such.

So basically, it's best to bring stuff that you can put under the bed, in the drawers, or in the closet. It'll quickly get crowded if you decide to bring items that take up large amounts of floorspace.

I read somewhere that Courtside is the smallest and has both private and shared bathrooms. Delta Terrace is predominantly shared bathrooms and Canyon Pt has private bathrooms. Correct me if I am wrong.

1)In a private triple, will there be enough room for micro-fridge, or if all roommates bring one of those 3 drawers cart organizer?
2)Can any of the drawers be locked?
3) Is the cabinet big enough for 3 people to put their personal belongings?

Yeah, Courtside is the smallest. Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. All three have both private and shared (I think), but I'm not sure about the ratios. It does seem that Courtside is mostly shared.. again I'm unsure.

1- I haven't seen a triple at SV. My guess is that the microfridge will fit and that it may seem visually cluttered with 3 drawer carts, though workable.

2- Nope. They're pretty much like standard home furniture.

3- I would say so if you're referring to the bathroom cabinets.

Again, this is just based on my own room at Canyon Point.

With some clever planning, you can easily fit a fridge.

No, but that shouldn't worry you.

Yes.

is canyon point the nicest of the three? Are there any pictures of Canyon point? If so can you guys post a link? Thank you!

Found this:

Are shared bathroom rooms bigger than private? I noticed that DeNeve rooms were a lot smaller living space wise compared to Rieber Vista shared bathroom rooms. Is anyone willing to trade a triple for a triple? I have a room in Canyon Point and I'm looking for something closer to Summit or even Summit itself. Please let me know.

Canyon is the nicest of the three in overall aesthetics and size. Delta Terrace isn't bad at all if you can get pass the ugly gray blocks and the larger room size makes up for it. Courtside is kind of nice looking but isn't good room size wise.
