Sunset Village

I'm transferring in the fall to UCLA and just got a housing offer to live in sunset village. If you could give me some personal opinions on whether or not thats a good place to live please let me know. I especially do not want to live with a whole bunch of freshman. Thanks!

You should post this question on the regular UCLA page, not the class of 2012 page. But I will tell you my daughter (who is currently a sophomore) lived in Sunset Village her freshman year. It is a good dorm with a good location. Not sure of the mix of grade levels but I think it worked out well for her. It is not a rowdy res hall with loud students running in the halls. A bit more quiet but still social if that’s what you want. Try posting this question on the regular page and you will get more answers.

I currently live in Delta Terrace, one of the plaza dorms of Sunset Village. Overall, it’s pretty decent, however, I’d rather live in plazas such as Rieber Vista/Terrace or De Neve. There’s somewhat of an issue with ants and other bugs at some times but not too disgusting. It’s pretty quiet here since a lot of Transfer students also get placed here during the academic year.
