Hey all. I posted this in the chance section with no replies so maybe some fellow NYers will have more input.

I'm looking for a chance at the following:
SUNY: Geneseo, Stony Brook, Binghamton, and U Buffalo.

Also curious about Rochester U.

SAT: 1990, hope to raise it to 2100 in the fall
GPA: sitting at an 84 average
Classes: I have taken mostly honors classes, one AP this year, and all Comm. College and AP courses next year.

ECs: Eagle Scout, Scouting honor society, Red Cross Youth leadership award, quite a few volunteer hours.

I appreciate your input! Thanks guys and gals.

Your grades will hurt you at Geneseo, Binghamton, UB and Stonybrook . The first 3 are showing middle 50% grades above 90 and UB starts at 88. Here is a link to the 2013-2014 SUNY profiles book: https://www.suny.edu/media/suny/content-assets/documents/2013-2014_suny_profiles.pdf which shows the stats for each SUNY school.

Hey there, I’m an incoming freshman for SUNY Oswego. My SAT was a 1660 and ACT was a 26 while my GPA was around a 3.0. I’ve learned from myself and other friends that the thing that all SUNY schools seem to like and care for most is your GPA. Although I only applied for (and was accepted to) Oswego, Plattsburgh, and New Paltz, ALL of the SUNY schools want a high GPA. A few friends of mine had higher test scores then me but a lower GPA and they weren’t accepted to SB or UB. So you should be fine with your scores but if you GPA isn’t in the 90s then it’ll be A LOT harder to get into those schools.

Thanks guys. With these grades can you recommend a school with a good pre-med course?
