SUNY Albany's Communication Program?

I'm fairly interested in applying to SUNY Albany for their communication program. I'm pursuing the major of Communications and hope to be a News Broadcast Analyst once I graduate. How is the Communications Program at SUNY Albany? Is Fordham, St. John's, or Pace a better option? I'm considering applying to all four, but I was wondering which is, in your opinion the best communications school.

I would have to say of the schools mentioned, Fordham has a better program. It has had a very strong communications dept for many years and if you search the net, it is usually listed as a top program. Marshall McCluan taught there (considered the father of modern communications theory; “The medium is the message”) and they have excellent programs and faculty. Paul Levinson, a major name in the field, teaches there as one example. There some excellent internships in NYC and my D just graduated with a degree in Communications: she had 3 jobs waiting for her as a result of internships. You can aim high and apply to Syracuse’s Newhouse school: one of the top 5 in the country.

Perhaps you can search the wiki sites for each school and look at some noted alumni in communications (Journalism, broadcasting, etc) to get an idea of some outcomes.

All good schools, so you can’t go wrong. It may just come down to cost and as a SUNY, Albany is less expensive than most privates.
