Actually, last year my friend applied RD and heard back mid Feb so I’m sure starting Feb would be possible. But then again, don’t know if it will be the same in this case due to the pandemic.

Hey, my son just got deferred from SOM-applied early action and deferred to regular. Instate. What are his chances? Do kids who are deferred from EA SOM get in?

SAT: 1570
GPA: 3.0 weighted (bad first 2 years, 3.9 junior year)
No class rank, 7 APs taken, 5s on most. Strong extracurriculars, many leadership positions+awards

Yes, my daughter accepted into Harpur.
How many people here got deferred from SOM? Everyone ik who applied without submitting test scores or low test scores got deferred. No one I know got a rejection.
One son admitted and the other deferred. Both with no scores.

Yield protecting in that they are initially accepting less applicants than usual?
Like they’re accepting more students with less than average stats and deferring/rejecting those with higher than average stats
no i don’t think so. So far most acceptances I’ve seen are people with above average stats where the people with average and less average stats have been deferred and rejected
