If I was invited into the FRI program would I already have been invited?
Any word what day they are going to release the decisions for the applicants that were deferred to RD?
@cbjs44 if you can afford to go to UMich, i would recommend it over Bing
Anyone have any idea when the next wave of decisions are coming out? I thought maybe last night because a large amount of people heard on the 3rd monday of march last year, did anybody hear last night? Or mabye tonite? I applied january 5th still havent gotten anything and im starting to get worried now they will only be sending rejections.
@hsgirl655 I am in the same boat as you, but I applied in October! I was a deferred in December and I haven’t heard anything yet… I am also worried about rejections considering they have less than 2 weeks to let us know.
The FRI Program is amazing. My S just finished FRI. He has been invited to TA labs and into new research, and he is a sophomore. Good luck.
I got an email saying I’ve been rejected to harpur but I’ve been offered a position at the school of community affairs lol I guess a 31 act wasn’t enough to get into one of the easiest programs at this school. Oh well Buffalo it is then and at least I technically didn’t get rejected to the school
@lenape23 When did you receive the email??
Just got into Harpur I just happened to check the portal and saw the update to my application. Did not receive an email yet. Good luck everyone !!!
Lenape23, this is odd. My son got into Harpur with an SAT that converted to ACT would be less than 31, this was last year.
Hello guys! I am back! Unfortunately with bad news
I heard that the space in Harpur is getting extremely limited
so even if you get accepted to Bing, they might put you in college of community and public affairs.
just got accepted into BAP (Binghamton Advantage Program). Anyone else get that offer?
Hey guys,
So I was just accepted into this BAP last night and I’m pretty shocked. I just called Binghamton and was told this is better than being waitlisted because your gaurenteed to get into Bing as long as you maintain over a 3.0. Here were my stats:
Prestigious Catholic School on Long Island
white
Family income > $500,000
GPA: 91.7 (Weighted)
ACT: 24 (had a higher ACT superscore but didnt send other test)
Freshmen- Honors/APS: Theology 9 Honors,
Sophmore- Global History 10 Honors, English 10 Honors, Theology 10 Honors, Independent Science Research 10 Honors
Junior- AP US, AP Lang, Independent Science Research 11 Honors
Senior- AP Enviromental Science, AP Literature, Independent Science Research Honors, Econ/ Gov. Honors, Business Law Honors
Apush123, what are your other acceptances? Perhaps, BAP at Bing is not such a good choice.
Just got an update from Binghamton and I got waitlisted for som. Pretty satisfied as I know that it is the hardest school to get into. Should I accept the wait list?
Yeah yeah i got offered to be put on the waitlist but i don’t think it’s worth it. I can’t wait until June to commit to college. And what are the serious odds you get in?
I got into the BAP program last night at 7:00 roughly. didnt recieve an email but i checked my status and there was update. applie accepted to URI which gave me no money, Oneonta, Ubuffalo. Binghamton has been first choice since sophmore year stats are particulary low for Binghamton. 1100 SAT 94 GPA , 98 semester senior taking 3 aps this year and 1 last year, Member of 4 honor societies , 4 years of varsity cheer aswell as a captain, a volunteer tutor, and MYO cheer coach. As binghamton being top school, am very excited be given any offer. I see it as only 1 year at Broome, maintain 3.0 then become full Bing student. For me it is worth it because love i love the campus atmosphere in end ill have a degree from a top Ny university …
@apush123 i would consider taking the offer if i were you. Your stats are lower for binghamton and it is only 1 year. People got rejected with higher stats then me so i see it as a great oppertunity that i should take.
@hml333 Yesterday 4pm
This year is more competitive I guess. Maybe he has a better GPA and ecs
